Jacqueline Bertin Becomes Bride Of Ernest Beltramini At Evening Rites

At a beautiful ceremony at the San Rafael Improvement clubhouse, Miss Jacqueline Eve Bertin and Ernest Mario Beltramini were married Friday evening. The bride?s sister, Mrs. William H. Baltzell, (Jill Bertin) was matron of honor and Mrs. William Ayers (Rena Beltramini), sister of the bridegroom was bridesmaid. Charles I. Holzheiser of San Francisco, the bride?s godfather, who is also her uncle, gave her in marriage at the 8 o?clock ceremony at which Judge John J. Miller of Sausalito officiated.

Jackie is the daughter of Mrs. Vera Limbeau Bertin of Sam Rafael, and the late Charles Lucien Bertin. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Edna LeRoy of San Rafael and Carl Beltramini of San Francisco.

The bride wore an original model of heavy ivory satin, which hung gracefully over a hooped foundation and fell into a long train. Ruffled Chantilly lace adorned the gown from the waist to the hemline, in the front, and tiny seed pearls outlined the net shoulder line, set off with a ruffle of lace. The veil, which was in two tiers, was attached to a net and pearl coronet. She carried a bouquet of Rhodesias, gardenias and white tropical lilies.

The bride?s attendants wore old fashioned apron draped taffeta gowns with corded pleated ruffles drawn up to the waist line in the back. Mrs. Baltzell wore apple green and Mrs. Ayers, orchid. They carried old fashioned bouquets and wore a garland of matching flowers in their hair.

William Ayers was the best man and William Baltzell was the usher.

More than 160 friends and relatives attended the ceremony and the reception which followed it in the clubrooms which were decorated with large white delphinium. On the improvised altar were white flowers and large candelabra.

The young plan to reside in San Rafael on return from the wedding trip. The new Mrs. Beltramini changed before departure to a navy blue and grey suit completed by a small navy and white hat, and a corsage of white orchids.

Both the bride and bridegroom are graduates of San Rafael High school. Jackie attended the College of Marin. Her husband served in the Pacific theater during the war.

The wedding cake which was surrounded with gardenias was topped by a small frosted vase filled with rhodesias.
