Valeria Smith, T. J. Daniger Exchange Vows

The marriage of Miss Valeria Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernard V. Smith of 976 Orchard, to Thomas J. Daniger Jr., of the U. S. merchant marines, was solemnized Tuesday evening, Jan. 18, at the home of the bride?s parents. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Edwin Baird of the Twenty-first L.D. S. ward.

The bridal party stood before a background of palms and ferns combined with American beauty roses. The setting was lighted by white tapers in seven-branch candelabra.

The bride was charming in a white satin princess model. Her fingertip veil of bride?s illusion was arranged at the head with a coronet of white roses. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and roses.

Miss Elaine Minnoch was bridesmaid and wore a white chiffon gown and a corsage of gardenias. Pete Petrie was best man.

A small reception followed the wedding ceremony, with about a hundred close friends and relatives attending. A three-tiered wedding cake was featured.

The young folks left Wednesday morning for San Francisco where they will make their home temporarily, while Mr. Daniger is stationed there. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Daniger of 2915 Monroe boulevard.
