Sources and Notes: Pocatello Tribune, Pocatello, Bannock, Idaho, January 14, 1917 Newlyweds Will Live In Blackfoot It was learned this morning, Robert L. Nicholas and Mrs. Ruth White, two popular young Pocatello people slipped quietly away to Idaho Falls on Saturday and were married in that city. The young couple were married by the Rev. Holder of the Episcopal church and will make their home in Blackfoot where Mr. Nicholas has been employed the last few months in the Standrod Bank of that city. Mr. Nicholas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nicholas of Butte, his father being a prominent engineer in that city. "Bob" has lived on and off in Pocatello since boyhood, and was employed in Pocatello last year with a local electrical house and for some time was in the service of the Short Line. Mr. Nicholas is a nephew of Judge and Mrs. D. W. Standrod. Mrs. Nicholas is a daughter of Mrs. J. H. Daniger of 417 North Arthur Avenue and is a daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. White. She is a Pocatello girl and attended school here, and is one of the most popular and delightful young women in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas have numerous friends in Pocatello and the one regret is that they will not reside here. Their friends wish them all the happiness, joy and good fortune possible in the years to come. |
