Miss Niswonger Bride Of Ancil F. Jones

A profusion of palms, mock orange blossoms and roses lighted by white burning tapers provided a background setting at First Baptist Church Thursday afternoon for the marriage of Miss Margaret Anne Niswonger, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Niswonger, 1423 Whitener Street, to Ancil F. Jones of Parma. Rev. Wade Cochran read the vows for the 5 o'clock service in the presence of the two families and close friends. Music was provided by Mrs. Don Black at the organ and preceding the ceremony Bob Jones sang. Mrs. Bill Noble of Catron and Miss E. Layne Trickey lighted the tapers.

The bride, who walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, was costumed in a frock simply designed of creamy white eyelet-embroidery complemented with an open crown bonnet of white straw. A corsage formed of deep red roses worn at the shoulder completed her ensemble.

Miss Bette Jo Niswonger, wearing a soft pink, served as her cousin's only attendant. She accented her costume with a yellow carnation corsage pinned at the shoulder. Tracy Eaton of Dexter was attendant for the bridegroom who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Jones of Parma.

Attended State College

At the home of the bride's parents, roses were arranged throughout the rooms where guests were received immediately following the ceremony. The traditional wedding cake along with an arrangement of spring blossoms appointed the serving table over which Mrs. Alvin Penrod, aunt of the bride, presided. Mrs. Oscar Duncan was at the punch bowl and Mrs. Bill Noble served the cake.

Thursday's bride, a graduate of Sikeston High School, attended State College, where she was a member of Hesperian Society. Before her marriage she was a teacher in the Sikeston Schools. Mr. Jones attended the Parma schools and was a student at University of Missouri prior to entering the Marine Corps where he served three years. After a motor trip the couple will live in Parma where he is associated with his father in farm operations.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding and reception included: Mr. and Mrs. James Gilmer and daughter, Jean; Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Hon and daughter, Camile; Mrs. S. A. Niswonger, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eaton and son, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Niswonger and son, O. J. Niswonger, all of Parma; Bill Noble of Catron; Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Shipley of Netherlands; Miss Reta Margrabe of Sikeston and Rev. and Mrs. A. D. Rankin of Oran.
