Sources and Notes: Marriage, October 1948 Mr. and Mrs. John Enos Crites, following their marriage October 8, are residing at 330 South Middle Street. Mrs. Crites, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Peek of Millersville, is the former Miss Velma Geraldine Peek. The double ring ceremony was solemnized by Rev. J. A. Morgan at Maple Avenue Methodist Church, with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Englehart as attendants. The bride chose for her wedding a suit of soft grey wool with which she employed black accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Her only jewelry was a gold cross and chain belonging to her late grandmother, Mrs. Emma Kistner and also worn by her sister, Mrs. Walter Tuschhoff at her wedding. A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents, with the occasion also marking their 21 anniversary. A four-tiered wedding cake centered the table. Mrs. Crites was graduated from high school at Jackson in May and is employed at the hosiery mill there. Mr. Crites, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Crites of Lutesville, was graduated from high school there and spent two years in the Army. He is employed by an ice cream company. |
