Wedding, October 1947

The Methodist Church at Jackson was the scene Saturday afternoon of the exchange of wedding vows between Miss Gladys Germaine Peek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Peek of Millersville, and Walter Tuschhoff. Rev. S. E. Stringham, pastor, officiated in the presence of the families and a few close friends. Additional guests attended a reception from 4 to 7 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents.

The bride chose for her wedding a soft blue wool afternoon dress fashioned with a white inserted yoke. Her only jewelry was a gold cross and chain which belonged to her late grandmother, Mrs. Kistner. She wore black accompaniments and pinned a corsage of red roses at the shoulder.

Miss Velma G. Peek, the bride's sister, was maid of honor and her only attendant. Her dress was aqua blue and with it she also combined black accompaniments and wore a corsage of pink carnations.

Mr. Tuschhoff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Tuschhoff of Millersville, had John E. Crites of Lutesville, as best man.

On Trip To South

For the reception the home was decorated with bouquets of fall flowers. A four-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom appointed the serving table from which refreshments were served by Mrs. Vincent Gorman of St. Louis, Mrs. Fred Schuette and Miss Pauline Kistner.

After a short honeymoon in the South, the couple will live near Millersville. The former Miss Peek is employed at the International Shoe Co. here. Mr. Tuschhoff is an employe of the Albert Sander Hardware Store in Jackson.
