December 1992

The marriage on December 19 at the First United Methodist Church in Pocahontas. The Rev. Steve Wingo officiated at the candle-lit double ring ceremony.

The church sanctuary was adorned with Christmas greenery, intertwined with miniature white lights, brass candelabras with white burning tapers, and floral arrangements of white roses, varieties of mums and gladioli.

Musical selections were played by organist, Mrs. Reid Pennington, as guests were seated by the ushers, Corey Sink, cousin of the bride from Jackson, Missouri., Joey Pfeffer of Jonesboro, Mike Miller and David Taylor of Pocahontas. Kristi Fender and Martha Ellen King greeted and registered guests and assisted wedding coordinator, Mrs. Bob Dawson.

"Truly" and "Longer" were sung by Mrs. Kenneth Bennett and the United Methodist Handbell Choir, under the direction of Mrs. John Malone, played two of the bride's favorite wedding songs.

Justin Rogers, nephew of the groom, lit the altar and unity candles prior to the seating of the couple's grandmothers and the groom's mother, Mrs. Bill Niswonger.

The bride was accompanied down the center aisle by her mother, Mrs. Charlotte Heslep of Pocahontas. The bride chose a contemporary fitted sheath gown of candlelight satin. It featured a pearl and iridescent beaded bodice with a Sabrina neckline. The sleeves and hemline were bordered in beaded Venice lace. A bouffant cathedral-length train and a matching candlelight tulle beaded headpiece completed the bride's radiant appearance.

Serving as bridesmaids were Kelly Heslep, sister of the bride, and Melissa Carter of Conway, Jenny Morgan of Paragould, and Erika Baxley of Pocahontas.

They wore kelly green formal-length sheath suits of Bengalinefile. They carried arrangements of ivory tiger lilies intertwined with red velvet ribbon.

Lauren Tyler, niece of the groom, dressed in candlelight satin served as flowergirl.

Serving the groom as attendants were Billy Coates of Pocahontas, David Baltz and Bobby Sorg of Memphis, Tenn., and Mike Butler, cousin of the groom, from Little Rock.

Following the ceremony, guests joined the couple and their parents for a reception at Rolling Hills Country Club. Music was provided by Randy and Jason Conner as a buffet supper was served.

Arrangements of candles flanked by Christmas greenery and flowers were placed throughout the dining room where guests were greeted by Mrs. Raymond Jackson, Mrs. Jim King and Mrs. John Bennett, who coordinated the celebration.

Assisting at the bride's table featuring a three-tiered wedding cake, topped with miniature roses and ivy, were Julie Baltz and Ashley Bennett. Angie Taylor served the groom's cake decorated with a Razorback motif, and Haley Black distributed rice bags to each of the guests.

After a trip to Paradise Island, Bahamas, Lori and Brian will be at home on Lake Drive in Pocahontas.
