Twin candelabra, greenery and altar vases each containing a single white rose encircled by a large wedding ring, adorned Grace United Methodist Church last Saturday night when Miss Alice Louise Cannon and Charles Daniel Niswonger exchanged wedding vows. The Rev. Howard D. Hardeman performed the double ring ceremony, and Mrs. Norman Ueleke was organist. Soloist was Mrs. Michael Allcock.

Mr. and Mrs. Norval L. Cannon, 1722 Luce, are parents of the bride, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Chester Niswonger, 2549 Marvin.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of bridal satin overlaid with Chantilly lace and featuring a wedding ring neckline and bishop sleeves with pale pink ribbon centered with a lace cabbage rose around the empire bodice. Her chapel-length, lace-edged mantilla was held with a Chantilly lace cap. The gown and mantilla were designed and fashioned by the bride's mother. The bride held a small white Bible topped with two white orchids. After the ceremony she presented both mothers with a long-stemmed white rose.

Miss Norma Jean Ueleke was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss Ellen Frushour and Miss Marilyn Sanders, cousins of the bride.

They appeared in gowns of sheer pink polyester flocked with white daisies over pink taffeta with soft gathered skirts. The dresses also had empire bodices defined with pink ribbon and sheer lantern sleeves. Each carried a long stemmed pink carnation with green ferns.

The bridegroom chose his brother, Dale Niswonger, as best man and groomsmen were Larry Niswonger, cousin of the bridegroom, and Bruce Johnson, David and Wayne Sanders, cousins of the bride, were ushers assisted by Marty and Steve Niswonger, brothers of the bridegroom, who were also candlelighters.

A reception was held following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. Guests were served by Misses Janet and Sharon Ruesler, Jackson, Joyce Bucher, Oran, Carol Moore, Ellen Schneider and Mrs. Wayne Johnson. Miss Patti Kester was at the guest book.

Mrs. Niswonger is a graduate of Sikeston High School and is a senior at State College, majoring in elementary education. She will receive her degree in December. Mr. Niswonger, a graduate of Central High School, is employed by The Missourian Litho and Printing Co.

After a wedding trip of an undisclosed destination, the couple will reside at 406 Bellevue.
