Sources and Notes: Southeast Missourian, Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, July 9, 1954 Oak Ridge - In a double ring ceremony, performed at the First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge by the Rev. J. B. Huffmeister on Saturday, Miss Margaret Clifton became the bride of Gary Niswonger. Their only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Thiele, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. For her wedding, Miss Clifton chose a summertime frock of white nylon, with matching white accessories. Her corsage was a single orchid. Mrs. Thiele wore a blue nylon dress, also with white accessories, and a corsage of white carnations. A reception was held in the basement of the church following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Niswonger are making their home in Jackson, where she is employed at the shoe factory. Mr. Niswonger is employed at Superior Electric Co. in Cape Girardeau. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Elsie Clifton of Jackson. Mr. Niswonger's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Pink Niswonger of Cape Girardeau. |
