Hobson-Wittman Pledge Troth

Miss Christine Ann Hobson became the bride of Danny Kaye Wittman in a double ring ceremony on the afternoon of Jan. 8 in Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park, Pa. The Rev. John N. Dennis performed the ceremony.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ramond G. Hobson of Brussels, Belgium, formerly of Upper St. Clair, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert W. Wittman Sr., of Bazine.

Mrs. Leonard Highley furnished organ music for the wedding and accompanied Mrs. Robert Christman, vocalist. Brook A. Hobson, Brussels, brother of the bride and Raymond G. Clark, Montross, Va., ushered the guests.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose an antique ivory satin gown, empire waisted with seed pearls adorning the appliqu?s of lace on the sleeves and hemline of the gown. Her bouquet was of white roses, blue stephanotis and gypsophila.

Honor attendants were Mrs. Robert L. Pike, Charlottesville, Va., and Wilbert V. Wittman Jr., brother of the bridegroom of Fredericksburg, Va. Miss Carol A. Garvin was the bridesmaid. Both Mrs. Pike and Miss Garvin were attired in medium blue chiffon empire waisted gowns with multi-colored ribbons. They carried bouquets of red roses, blue and yellow daisies, stephanotis and gypsophila.

A reception followed at Clair House, Upper St. Clair.

The bride is a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School and is now a junior at Mary Washington College in the University of Virginia. Mr. Wittman graduated from Bazine Rural High School and is employed with the Virginia Electric and Power, while attending Germanna College.

The couple is at home at 9 Greenbrier Ct., Apt. 204, Fredericksburg, Va.
