Making their home at 1402 Independence Street after a honeymoon through the South, Miss Euvela Kraust, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Byrd, Hopper Road, and LeRoy Niswonger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Niswonger of Oriole, were married August 31 in an evening ceremony in Hanover Lutheran Church, performed by the pastor, Rev. Wm. Wittrock.
Attendants at the double-ring ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ford, brother-in-law and sister of the bride.
For her wedding, the bride wore a dress of powder blue crepe and black accessories, and a single strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Her corsage was of white roses. Mrs. Ford's dress was pink, also complemented with black accessories. Her corsage was of white Asters.
Following the ceremony, an informal reception was held at the home of the bride's parents where a three-tired cake centered the bride's table.
Mrs. Niswonger is employed at Missouri Utilities Co., and will retain her position. Mr. Niswonger after having served 22 months in the Army, 18 of which were spent in the Pacific area, is employed by Marquette Cement Co.
