An afternoon party, which honored Miss Mary Niswonger, was given Sunday by Mrs. Adolph Westrich in her home on South Highway 61. The surprise event was a prenuptial shower, and the party room was decorated in white wedding bells which swayed from pink and white trailers affixed to the ceiling, while the gift table was centered by a replica bridal doll. Miscellaneous gifts were presented Miss Niswonger, fiancee of Larry Joiner.

Guest included the mothers of the prospective bridal couple -- Mrs. Omer Niswonger and Mrs. Alvenia Joiner --- and Miss Rita Fischer, Mrs. Virgil Glueck, Mrs. Charles Holshouser, Mrs. Bob Gross, Mrs. Carl Gross, Mrs. Paul King, Mrs. J. W. Mansfield, Mrs. Clyde Crites, Mrs. Charles Vandygraph, Mrs. James Blyze, Mrs. Otto Gross, Mrs. Charles Minor, all of this city; Mrs. Elmer Dumey, Mrs. John Niswonger and daughter, Valda and Miss Alma Dumey of Chaffee.
