Sources and Notes: Skinners Celebrate 50 Years Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lloyd Skinner of National City, CA, formerly of Jackson, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 20, 1993 with a dinner party in the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Harry Franklin and Donna Skinner. Others present for the event were the couple's daughter, Terri Kneipp, and their grandson, Timothy Kneipp, and close friends. Skinner, a retired Naval Master Chief Petty Officer, and his wife, Violet, have resided in National City for nearly 35 years. They were married in St. Louis, February 20, 1943. He was a recent graduate of the Great Lakes Navy Boot Camp, and she was employed by Curtis Wright Defense Plant in St. Louis. Brothers and sisters of the honorees who reside in this area includes Fred and Jessie Clippard, Lurena Maintz, Ann Niswonger, Daisy Niswonger, Donald and Ruth Niswonger, Jim Skinner, Mrs. George (Mabel) Skinner, Ray and Veda Skinner, Warren and Ella Skinner, and Sam and Marie Vinyard. Other sisters and brother residing out of this area are Cleotha Skinner, Joe and Betty Skinner and Mary Walters. |
