Girardean?s Son Weds McClure Girl
Miss Alice Colyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Colyer, of McClure, Illinois, and Woodrow Niswonger of McClure, son of Lee Niswonger of this city, were married at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Jackson at the home of the bridegroom's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cracraft. Rev. Hugo Hoyer, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church at Gordonville, performed the ceremony and attendants were the bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. Emanuel Colyer, of McClure and the bridegroom's nephew, John Cracraft, Jr., of Jackson. Mr. Niswonger farms at McClure, where the couple will live.
A dinner preceded the nuptials, those present for both occasions, in addition to the attendants, being the brides father, his sons, Jesse, Woodrow and Emanuel Colyer, and daughters, Misses Retha and Lois Colyer; Mrs. Minnie Lovell and daughter, Miss Lucille, Mrs. Ella Lovell, Louis and Jasper Lovell, Troy Watkins and Bert Troxel, all of McClure; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kelly and sons of Kansas City, Mrs. Kelly being a sister of the bridegroom; Alex Waldrup of Maynard, Arkansas; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Waldrup and children, Cecil and Joan, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hente and son, Jerry, Miss Dorothy Niswonger, Miss Beulah Waldrup, Miss Aldana Kassel, T. J. McFerron and Raymond and Truman Waldrup of Cape Girardeau; Carmen Sue, Robert, Donald and Eugene Menhart and Miss Margaret Cracraft of Jackson, the latter a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cracraft, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kelly and son returned to Kansas City Monday, accompanied by Miss Beulah Waldrup, Mrs. Kelly's niece, who will visit them for an extended period.
