Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Bell of Hindman, Kentucky, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Mary Garland Bell, to the Rev. Dale Niswonger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Niswonger.

Miss Bell is a graduate of Memphis State University, Memphis, Tennessee, with a M. A. in Exceptional Child Education. She is an assistant professor in the Teacher Education Department at SEMO State University teaching courses in Exceptional Child Education.

Niswonger is a graduate of SEMO State University with a degree in secondary education majoring in English and psychology. He is a teacher of English in Perryville Jr. High School.
