Now motoring in Southern California are the recently wedded Cpl. and Mrs. William Henry Baltzell Jr. The bride, the former Vera Charline Bertin, is the daughter of Mrs. Charles L. Bertin and the late Charles Lucien Bertin.

Vows of the young couple were exchanged in a picturesque ceremony at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Sunday.

"Jill" as the bride is called by intimates and friends, was gowned in the traditional white satin with medallions of lace on the net bodice. Her full net skirt ended in a long train and her veil, a cascade of net, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms.

The bride's uncle, Charles Holzheiser of San Francisco, gave his niece away.

Her sister, Jacqueline Eve Bertin, performed maid of honor duties and Violet Marie Roberts acted as bridesmaid.

The maid of honor wore a pink model over satin, fashioned with a blue motif at the waist. The bridesmaid's gown was in the same style but in pale yellow. Both girls wore net hats of matching blue and carried showers of sweet peas, hyacinths and carnations.

Serving as ushers were Lieut. Francis E. Duane and Ernest Medvec, gunner's mate, USNR.

"Jill's" paternal grandfather, the late Leonce C. Bertin was founder of the French Hospital and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Eve Josephi Limbaugh, was well-known in both social and club affairs in Oakland and San Francisco.

Her grandfather, William A. Limbaugh, was associated with the US Government for 40 years. She is the great-granddaughter of Robert Josephi, a California pioneer of '49'.

The newlyweds will reside in Oakland after a visit with the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Baltzell in Wichita, Kan.
