Steinike-Davoust
There was a pleasant event in German social circles yesterday ? the Steinike-Davoust nuptials. The high contracting parties were August Steinike, of Steinike & Bruning; and Miss Frances Davoust, daughter of A. Davoust, 115 Sainsevain street. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Peter Verdaguer, at the Church of Our Lady of the Angels. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Annie Temple (sister of the bride), Miss Maggie Temple and Miss Ada Freeman. The groomsmen were Fred. Steinike (A brother of the groom), John II Temple and Henry Bruning. Later the party repaired to Turnverein Hall, where a pleasant dance was had in honor of the event. The groom is a member of the Turnverein Germania, and his fellow Turners turned out in force. Theo. Friese and A. Fuhrberg were floor managers. A very enjoyable evening was passed by the numerous guests.
