Sources and Notes: Ida County Pioneer Record, Ida Grove, Ida, Iowa, March 13, 1952 Frank Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Williams of Ida Grove, and Irene Krayenhagen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Krayenhagen of Estherville, were married at the Church of God Friday, February 29, 1952, at two o'clock, with Rev. A. C. Marston officiating. The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore an aqua colored suit with white and black accessories and she wore a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Joe Stapleton, Jr. of Battle Creek served as the bride's attendant. She was attired in a wine suit with blue and white accessories. She wore a corsage of white carnations. Bob Burns of Ida Grove served as best man. The bridegroom and his attendant each wore a dark business suit. Mrs. Merle Shaver sang 'Because" and "I Love You Truly" accompanied by Mrs. John Collice. Earl Krayenhagen, brother of the bride and Dean Williams, brother of the bridegroom, served as ushers. Mrs. Bob Burns was in charge of the guest book. The bride's mother was attired in a dark green suit and the bridegroom's mother wore a navy blue dress. Each wore a corsage of white carnations. The immediate families and a few friends attended the ceremony after which a dinner was served at the home of the bridegroom's parents. The dining room was beautifully decorated in the bride's chose colors, white and aqua. A three tiered wedding cake baked and decorated by Mrs. Dewey Burns of Battle Creek centered the bride's table. The dinner was prepared by Mrs. Nellie Strong and Mrs. Laura Pendleton. Mrs. Richard Cullen and Lois Muckey served as table waitresses. |
